ABC's Linda Albin

Listening to the coverage of the tragedy in Paris, it struck me that I hadn't heard Linda Albin on the air in quite some time. Does anyone know if she is still with ABC News Radio? She did top-notch work from "the foreign desk" in London.

CBS still holds its own with London-based Vicki Barker and Larry Miller. It's interesting that CBS lets them freelance for NPR.

I have not heard Linda Albin "at the foreign desk" in over a year.

Tom Rivers, who was her back up for a long time is now the reporter "at the foreign desk." He's in Paris ... along with Aaron Katersky, who flew out from New York (leaving literally no one to cover domestic news). ABC News Radio's reporter ranks are a shell of what they used to be.

Vicki Barker is doing an incredible job covering the attacks. Elaine Cobbe is there, too, reporting for radio. However, she's a radio reporter / TV producer, and once CBS flew a bunch of TV reporters in, she's been on the radio less and less (too busy producing for Pelley?).

Here's the CBS World News Roundup anchored by Vicki Barker in Paris and Peter King (in Orlando?) this morning...
