There's gold in the puppydog hills... especially in showing. Consider, I was told (and I believe the source) that one of the major contenders last year - the handler that is - was told by the dog's owner "If you run over $500K, give us a call. We'll approve it but (husband) will need to know". I suspect that's a true story.
Late last summer, a show acquaintence of mine was sent to Kiev, to purchase and bring back a Black Russian Terrier. He was there for ten days, and returned with the dog. All up, $50 - 60k for that trip wouldn't be out of line. Another acquaintence is campaigning the dog in this country. I don't think cost is any object at all.
The point being, if the right dog needs a picture, she can pretty much name her price if she's good at it... and her work looks pretty good. Nothing wrong with making money doing somehting you like, is there?
