About that next oldies station to flip...

There was a thread discussing what an oldies station should play as their first song leading into the new format, should it choose to flip.

Depending on the new format, I'd love for that song to be a cover of an oldie.

Most current example available:

The DollyRots cover of Brand new key. (2007-CHR/New Rock)

How's THAT for a "Yep! Your station's gone!"?

The "Flippers" are now becomming the Flipped. How's that for having made stupid programming choices? First song "Workin' My Way Back To You"

This depends on the market.
Fickle in Rochester isn't getting a flip back to oldies.

Buffalo's 104.1 didn't flip back...instead they moved forward tweaking accordingly to the point where they are now Mix 104.1.

Which leads me to Jack New York...what are they doing anyway?
I have to agree...there's a station that perhaps should have stayed with oldies.
