I'll have to look at the 7pm time slot to see if the "This" logo is displayed or not. The only station I saw full time station ID was when I dx'ed WKOW RF 26.2 (PSIP 27.2) Madison Wisconsin. The ABC station in Madison Wisconsin carries This TV, and has the station id and COL underneath the "This" logo. WCIU RF 27.4 (PSIP 26.4) carries This TV, and they co-own This TV. On their subchannel, they only display Chicago underneath the "This" logo. When they do a station ID, it's at the bottom of the screen displaying WCIU 26.4 Chicago. Weigel Broadcasting (owner of WCIU Chicago & WBME & WDJT Milwaukee) also carries This TV on the subchannel to their CBS affiliate, WDJT RF 46.3 (PSIP 58.3). Since I haven't watched WDJT at all (even when I've been in Milwaukee), I don't know if they have the station ID underneath the 'This" logo, like WKOW Madison Wisconsin does. I don't know why the logo is even displayed. That's becoming common on most stations (both OTA & cable/satellite channels) these days. I don't like it. I have heard that it's done for station recognition, but also to make it difficult for programs to be copied without the station's logo on it. I believe some stations leave the station id up fulltime with the "This" logo up, just so they don't forget to do the hourly station identification.
While a bit off-topic, but PBS station WTTW leaves the station ID up on their Create & V-Me channels, since they don't program those stations. Since they can't easily do a station ID for Create & V-Me, it's easier for them to comply with the station ID by leaving it up all the time.
