Although this is not dance, I thought more people would care about it here than in the rhythmic section.

It's about time Utada was given attention here (on rhythmic radio)! I just heard 101.5 JamZ play Utada's brand new hit, which I never even thought about the possibility of this happening. It never even once crossed my mind that I'd hear it on JamZ. It's about time! I love Utada and have always included her music in my rhythmic and top 40 mixes (well not any of the ones I have available for download on my site of course). If anyone should make it in the United States from Japan, she'd definitely be one of those people. I wonder what this coming album will be like? Her first album I used certain tracks to mix with past Delerium and Craig David...etc. hits. Utada's second album was pretty good too, despite the fact I never used any songs from there in a mix show.
 
I'm playing the new single (Come Back to Me) on a CHR Pop station.  I enjoyed Exodus (her second English CD), and I liked it enough to pick up her first English CD and a few of her Japanese CDs on eBay.

Her American releases lean towards a lower vocal delivery and punchier beats, and they don't make her sound like she's watering down her sound (take notes on that Shakira).  Her album is a few weeks away, but if you like this check out her last English CD Exodus.  I think you'll agree there's just something about her voice that's...alluring.
