Anyone have any opinions on morning radio in ABQ? I left the market a couple of years ago, and want to know how my hometown DJ's are doing. Everyone still there? Anything new?

Larry Ahrens lost 80% of his audience.

But, on the bright side, he still has the other two listeners left! :)

anyone know the daypart break down for KAGM??? I was wondering who is getting the big #'s there...after all they may get to a 2 by fall

get some better local talent

Not too surprising, he's barely listenable anymore. Fortunately, Doug Stephan out of Boston is sounding pretty good up until 6:00. I wish they'd run Doug the full 5 hour show, until 8:00.

Or get some better local talent.<P ID="signature">______________

Among the money/talk radio demos (A25-64), KAGM narrowly beats KABQ in morning drive and outperforms KTBL by about 3:1. From 10-3, 1350 wins among the second tier talkers, with KAGM and KTBL fighting for second place depending on which demo you look at... either way, they get between 50-65% of 1350's cume during middays. In afternoons, 1350 wins again, with Talk FM nearly tying it at the younger end of the scale and getting about 75% as listeners get older. And at night, 1350 clobbers everyone including AGM by at least 3:1. Weekends solidly belong to 1350 as well, even considering the underwhelming performance of the Rockies in their rating.

(Surprisingly?) KAGM's better performance, especially with cume, comes from the 25-44 and 25-54 demos rather than the older demos. Considering that Air America still beats them in the younger demos, I find that a tad askew.
