# 1 = Eddie Davis on Lite Rock 96.9 - is he moving to Kiss FM?

Zack John Mellencamp just called me...he said it's Mike and Diane on WAYV not Jack and Diane

What about Mike and Diane to SoJo? Also, I don't think the Morning Edge is together, if I'm not mistaken, one half of that team was dismissed and relieved of his duties.

The Morning Edge was split up...but I think when JSE flips the Morning Edge may be getting together somewhere else...I'm pretty sure thats what the rumor refers to...DonJohnson said:

Unless you have some inside information on another station in the market flipping formats to Alternative or Rock, I'd say it's safe to assume your wrong.

Well ok you told me!! ....can we get a hint then...
....can we get a hint then...Well, despite Zackster's attempt at humor, you need to assess who has competition and who could/would move. Obviously a syndicated show like Tom Joyner isn't moving, although I guess technically one station could not renew his contract and another could pick it up, but that's not what I'm talking about.

Which leaves us Dave and Jerry on TKU, Eddie Davis on FPG, Mike and Diane on AYV, and Marc Miller on SoJO.
My guess (Who Cares works at Equity, so he would be aware of their anchor morning show moving) would be Mike and Diane. They are one of the only morning shows in the market with name recognition, and quite frankly, the only morning show worth paying for. The rest are garbage.

Unless a local morning show was moving to another station owned by
the same group, or in the same building, they would be taken off the
air immediately when the word got out.
So if there is anything going on, it would be a satellite show moving.

How long has it been reported that JSE was going to flip??? Yet, months later, it's still the same station.
The point is....just because it is written on here doesn't mean the owners buy into it. Sure, they may be aware of it, but if any of their morning teams are planning a move, I'm pretty sure they are going to be the last ones to find out, otherwise they'd already have yanked the show off the air.
IMO this thread has ZERO truth behind it.
The point is this board is run by two types of people: Brett, his cronies and his multiple fake handles, and frustrated wannabees (including part time jocks, displaced jocks, interns, etc.). Actually, they could all fit into the same category.
If you notice, the full time jock and the PD very rarely post on this board. Usually it's as a matter of correction of facts, or posting a job. They give it no credence.
Nor do the owners. So, if you think an owner of a station, or group of stations, is going to axe his/her morning show due to a rumor of them leaving, that's insane.
"Hey, uh, (insert morning show/team name here), sorry, but I read on Radio-Info.com that (insert fake handle here) said you were going to be leaving for the competition, so I'm going to fire you. Yeah, (fake handle) said they got it from a credible source, and I think it might be our bookkeeper. I know you've talked to our bookkeeper a couple of times in the past couple of weeks, so it has to be true. Yeah, it crossed my mind that the rumor might have been started by the competition just to mess with me, but I really think (fake handle) has his/her finger on the pulse of our radio market. He/she must be some high up person in one of the big radio groups. Might even be ours. Anyway, thanks for the memories, thanks for the ratings."

If they did react to rumors, which would be a horrible way to do business, don't you think it's more likely they would meet with the show/team and see about keeping them on board rather than simply cut them loose to go unabated to the competition?
And, since this board, and others like it, as well as just inter-broadcast company gossip runs ramped, wouldn't virtually every show get s**t-canned every other week?
