If you want to listen to an AC that plays totally different songs than you are used to hearing I recommend GLOBO-FM from Rio Brazil. They play a huge variety from 70s songs that have long been taboo in the U.S (Dr Hook-Sharing The Night Together) to songs that never were American AC hits but sound good on the format (Monica-Before You Walk Out Of My Life). They play lot's of "lost 80s" type songs (Cutting Crew-I've Been In Love Before) and some good currents/recurrents (Jason Mraz/ Colbie-Lucky). They are mostly English language but play some Portuguese as well. Everything they play has a soft,relaxing texture. Unlike U.S ACs they dont feel the pressure to be uptempo. Yet the station isn't boring sounding either. If you want to hear another countries take on AC give this a listen.
