Acceptable and fun for top 40 hit radio play?

Some music that sounds like it would be fun for top 40 radio play today

~ INFINITY - GURU JOSH PROJECT

~ CHEMISTRY - VELVET

~ WHITE HORSE - SARAH MCCLEOD

~ WHEN LOVE TAKES OVER - DAVID GUETTA FT KELLY ROWLAND

~ IMAGINARY BOYFRIEND - LEAH RENEE

I'm not sure about Ron Reeser & Dan Saenz ft. Myah, but I like it. AnnaGrace "you make me feel" should have been more considered. I'm going to start using and playing things like these again.

Whatever you think I have forgotten, please be sure to add on.

I'm not sure ,because you added Chemistry by Velvet, but I'm assuming that you mean in the past too. Definatley Ercola Every Word...Lasgo Gone...Kim Sozzi Feel Your Love....I agree with the D Guetta track but its all over the radio...Let The Feelings Go Anna Grace

and the two songs I think could have been CHR hits but were ignored Kim Leoni Again...and Plumb In My Arms

I really believe the Kim Leoni Track would have been huge!!!

I didn't add Let The Feelings Go by AnnaGrace because it doesn't seem like something that would stick. "you make me feel" was more catchy and fun, while "let the feelings go" doesn't seem like something that would appeal to most top 40 or rhythmic radio listeners. I just added Velvet as an example because it has that upbeat fun vibe and good rhythm to it, and I'm sure it would gain at least some acceptance to a certain degree. The Ercola song, for some reason I just find it rhythmically boring. I can't imagine it doing well or catching too much attention from fans on top 40, but that's just me. I also felt the same way about "never" by Roc Project, but that one did kind of make it.

Now when I think of it, I am wondering what happened because when you think back just a few years, you'll see how a good amount of dance hits used to be accepted in top 40. With the way things are going now, why can't it start back again? The dance/pop is cool, but will only remain exciting for so long. We should soon have it back to the way it was when IIO, Lasgo, Ian Van Dahl, Amber, Daniel Beddingfield, Kylie Minogue and all of them were able to crossover, but with the newer artists of today. I'm hoping that the first six months of this year is all a lead up to a great six final months where more "established and real" dance artists start making it back into the "big picture". Either that, or I hope it's done through another form of radio.

NEW COMMUNITY RADIO STATION IN PHOENIX?
As of right now, there is a "new" (new to me) community station I just found out about that is in the process of also taking a position on the fm dial. My mother somehow found out about it first and got the info for me. As of now, it's internet news events and other scheduled type programs, which they are still looking for people to fill in slots with MUSIC programs and OTHER THINGS. I've signed up, and I think it's safe to assume that everyone already knows what MUSIC and OTHER THINGS I have in mind......

We already have enough pop and rhythmics in Az, so.......

Your point with the two Anna Grace tracks ia valid. I couldn't disagree more with the Ercola track . It is a track girls go nuts for and would fit in nicely at Top 40......What did you think about Kim Leoni's Again?

I'm guessing the Kim Leoni track has that type of sound that could make it, but I think out of all, nothing could beat Ida Corr vs. Fedde Le Grand "Let Me Think About It" when it comes to songs that should and could have made it to top 40.

I've seen people talking about Ercola a lot as top 40 material over the past few months and I also see that BBC radio 1 and maybe many others are all over it, but.... I still think all of IIO's songs rhythmically appeal to me as more fun than Ercola's song. I've tried getting into it for a few months unsuccessfully, but I wouldn't mind it making it to top 40 or hearing it all the time if it did. I wanted Calvin Harris to make it, but if Craig David "insomnia" only did as well as it did on top 40 radio, then I can't really expect all these songs I'm talking about to get the attention I'm thinking and hoping for.... but still, it could happen.

Me in italics.....

Anna Grace, yes. I also think the new one by Airscape feat. Jes "My Love" could be considered.
