After reading this story consider who conducted the survey and who would benefit from such results.

And finally does anyone here really believe the article is fact or slightly tainted?

It's not so much the survey but the data that is included in this article. Notice that there's no mention of how long they listen when they do tune in? Those teens may tune in at least one station in high numbers, but they aren't glued to it like they once were.

Good points. Appears to be a cume based survey rather than TSL. I talked to one of my iPod totin' 16 year old nephews and asked him about listening to radio. He said he still listens to radio (WBLK, Wild and Kiss, BTW) but it isn't as portable as iPods and mp3 players. No wonder broadcasters are pushing for iPods with FM... as if that might make a difference once an eight minute commercial break hits. For that matter, it might not make a difference when a two minute commercial break hits.

Ha who needs FM in an iPod? Like you said what difference will it make?

In this day of short attention spans and fast moving media I'm amazed there are still 60 second commercials. They seem too long to me. You would think the job could be done with a :30 or at the most :45.
