Ace and TJ in Greenville

Summit Media seems to have a deal with iHeart/Premiere/Ace and TJ to put them on every station of theirs possible. I noticed the alt rock translator X 98.5 in Greenville is carrying them now and has been since the beginning of April. This seems like a really weird fit for a CHR/Hot AC based show, but Summit also put them on their classic hits signal in Knoxville. Any thoughts?

They originate from Hits 96.1 in Charlotte, their iHeart owned flagship station. Then they were added to the old My 102.5 in Greenville, the iHeart AC station in the Upstate. But they were dropped after they flipped to the Lake. Now apparently picked up by Summit on X-98.5. Looks like they would be a better fit for a hit music or adult contemporary format, but maybe iHeart didn't want them on the Lake. And could they be a better fit on Summit's Hot 98.1? I believe they are a bit to urban leaning for that to work, and they may have established hosts already.

I doubt iHeart would want them on The Lake which is a music intensive format in all dayparts, just like Jack FM, The Lake in Charlotte, etc. Summit seems to be putting them on a lot of their stations that don't fit the normal Ace & TJ format so they must have some kind of deal....it fit well on the old My 102.5, but I don't know if it did very well considering that station's performance.

Hot 98.1 has their own morning show, Dex and Barbie T, which I believe is heard in a couple of other Summit CHR's as well.
