ACME 7 + 4 others to the CW

A snippet from the B&C article:

The ACME stations involved in the deal are:...WTVK Ft Myers-Naples, Fla;...

An absolute no-brainer.

It was either WTVK or a combination of cable-only WNFM (run by Comcast) and WEVU-CA Channel 4/WBSP-CA Channel 7 (which is seen on the DBS services); this combo currently airs UPN.

So WPXT-TV channel 51 of Portland, ME will be a CW affiliate? It'll be the third network they've had in 20 years. They were FOX from the network's startup in 1986-87 until the fall of 2001, when station owners Pegasus dropped FOX and picked up WB (which had been a secondary affiliate on sister station WPME-TV channel 35 of Lewiston). I guess this means that WPME-TV channel 35 of Lewiston will pick up MyTV then? <P ID="signature">______________

Well, I guess this confirms KWBQ here in Abq. will be getting CW. I wonder if Acme will sign it's other KASY(UPN) on as My TV?

Didn't the owner of WPXT and WPME burn some bridges with Fox when 51 switched to WB. I wonder how this will factor in?

What other choice does WPME-TV have? The FOX affiliate in the Portland/Poland Spring DMA now is WPFO-TV channel 23 of Waterville. They were once a PAX/I station and had the letters WMPX-TV. They were bought by an Ohio-based broadcaster and became a FOX affiliate sometime in 2003. As far as I know, channel 35 is still co-owned with channel 51, as they share the same building in Westbrook, ME.
