Action News in HD

Word from the station is you can look for an upgrade of StormTracker radar real soon as well! And of course, a High Def component will be added too. We'll have to wait a good while, however, before we see the cameras in the field upgraded to high def.
 
Now can they get a set that doesn't look like the media center for a South Philly mobster and music that was written in the last ten years?

No, they're not gonna replace a set that is 6 months old, and generally liked, nor music that almost everyone loves. Remember they tried to change it before. When Action news stops being the #1 news in the area, then maybe you will see drastic changes such as new music, more flash graphics with sound, and all the other things the other channels have.
 
I noticed that the ID that appears on the bottom of the screen during the still graphic of Action News at the end of the open is not there.

What the hell does this mean?

Action News has really been a self parody of itself lately and I really don't watch anymore. Thanks to the internet, I don't really watch much local news except for flipping around for lack of anything else on.

When you see Action News 6 on the screen at the end of the opening theme, the station Id is at the bottom of the screen saying WPVI-TV/WPVI-DT Philadelphia. Its not there
