Actor Roy Scheider Has Died

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Roy Scheider, the actor best known for his role as a police chief in the blockbuster movie "Jaws," has died. He was 75. He also appeared with Gene Hackman in "The French Connection".
 
It's sad to see Mr. Scheider's passing - I didn't realize that he was ill. The man was an excellent actor and my condolences go out to his family and friends.
