Actual local announcement heard on local K-Love

First time I've ever heard it, some church announcements from the local area, and if you want your non-profit organization's event listed, they included an 800 number (I'm envisioning a phone room where there are operators who take PSA info.."now this is for Ohio or Kansas?". The event can't have an admission charge. No word on whether it can or can't be a Catholic event.<P ID="signature">______________

K Love stations have added computers at their transmitter sies or main studios that allow the stations to air psas and local announcements during breaks in K Love programming. K Love in Indianapolis has recently done this.

The do that everywhere as far as I know- they lump them all together and give very brief information about non profit events, usually no phone numbers and it goes very fast - they run 21 spots containing 4 or 5 events M-F but only run them once on a Saturday.(I guess of their choice)

As someone who works at K*LUV in Dallas/Ft. Worth (yes, we call it k-love)It's a bit weird to be talking about another k-love. As one of the few Catholics on this board, it is my guess that, unlike K*LUV, k-love will likely not publicize Catholic events of any kind. It's that whole pope thing......

Christian vs Catholic

Why are "Christian" stations so unhinged when it comes to being Catholic?

I don't know that K Love denies Catholic events but in most CCM stations when Catholic events are mentioned we get calls.

How many ahve taken time to investigate what the Catholic church is all about? They offer RCIA classes for adults yearly. Take time to discover the church on your own.

Christ established His Church. Catholics believe we ARE one church.

Growing up Baptist being taught all Catholics go to Hell I found Catholic beliefs are so identical to my belief structure as to be the same.

I hope my posting doesn't offend anyone and or violate the baord parameters but wanted to advise Christians who have no knowledge of the Catholic CHurch that it is not what you might have thought.

I want to encourage you to not feel picked on. I believe you can be a member of the Catholic church and still be saved. I think that a lot of people are put off by Roman Catholic sectarianism. I know I could never be a member because some teachings are counter to scripture. But virtually every church has at least one or two things that are the result of merely human authority, and not scriptural. If your relationship to Christ is right in your own heart, that is all that matters. Heretical teachings aside - you don't have to believe the heresies.
