Adam Bomb leaving Q?

Saw this today in Taylor on Radio-Info about the new Billy Bush show...

"Westwood and Cumulus have news on both counts: #1, eight Cumulus-owned stations will grab the new celebrity-filled evening show, including WWWQ/Q100, Atlanta (99.7) and KRBE, Houston (104.1). Presumably that pushes some local jocks out, or at least realigns some schedules."

What will happen? ???

Radio Ink says weeknights AND Weekends. Gee thanks. 97.5 out of Columbus is sounding better and better every day.

Maybe Adam will work 6-10p, and they'll carry this 10p-2a. Just a guess. If the now top-rate CHR in Atlanta goes syndicated starting at 7p every night, then radio is surely dead.

If these stories are accurate, and the weekday program is set to air on Q100, there are big technical issues they're overlooking involving delivery. Sounds like they put the cart before the horse and didn't talk to their engineers... That is, if the stories are completely accurate.

The only reason Billy Bush is even doing a radio show, is because of Ryan Seacrest.

Monkey see...

we've been discussing this on the chr/mainstream board as well. a press release from westwood one link is posted there with more details. I am curious to know if Adam is out as well. Also -- If Cumulus is doing this with two of their biggest CHR's how much do you want to bet it's going to happen company wide?

You mean a corporation that owns a string of radio stations nationwide doing the same thing on multiple stations? Get out!!! That will never happen.

Following this, what's next for Cumulus? They'll syndicate The Bert Show and The Regular Guys?

I am glad to hear Adam is staying. Losing your job to syndication sucks--I've been there. He is super talented too.

CONGRATS! You won the congratulations that you won! Your favorite radio station? 106-7 The Zone. ??? Oops.. I'm in the wrong market ???

I guess as an added benefit for Adam and also midday talent Brittney, one hour shaved off their airshifts! (assuming middays also from 10a-3p to 10a-2p). Unless Brittney stays 10a-3p and Johnny O. does only 3 hours, which I think Dylan at one time was on only 3p-6p. I guess more time now for Q full-times to voicetrack Sundays (I have a hunch that's happening).
