FMQB: Adam Carolla Confirms Howard Stern Takeover Rumor. ADAM CAROLLA confirmed, sort of, that he'll replace HOWARD STERN in LOS ANGELES, SAN FRANCISCO, SAN DIEGO, and one other market on STERN's show this morning. They would not disclose the LV market due to Howard's large fan base. Loveline, Adam's previous show which aired on 97.1 the Point a few years ago proved a disaster for Lotus and Infinity plans on breaking the news on a later date. Off air, Adam told howard he was taking Vegas as part of the deal so he could maybe move to the valley and produce a TV show at the Hard Rock Hotel. Adam is to be in Vegas to speak with exec's about the show planned to be the return of the MAN SHOW Live from Las Vegas at the Hard Rock Hotel and filming held on Tuesday's. Kevin Kelly, GM of Hard Rock confirmed the rumour during an interview with E-Network's "Wild ON in Las Vegas" two weeks ago!

No, their new afternoon show the Xtreme disorder.
 
I heard the new afternoon show was hired to replace howard once he's gone in jan. they're on now to create familiarity before they take over mornings. this was told to me by a staffer at infinity. probably more reliable than what you're reading in trades, but who knows...
