Adam the Bull on 92.3

CleveRadioInsider said:
The show sounds much better today with Adam going solo. Dustin Fox really brings very little to the show other than to repeat what Adam says.

Yeah, Dustin is not a good host. I guess they need him because 5 hours is very tough to fill.

Glad someone is acknowledging this. When Adam and Ken Carmen did the show together, that was pretty solid.

Dustin is going to be woeful during baseball, as he knows nothing about the sport. He also has no ability to have a varied opinion from Bull that he can back up with facts. The only time he disagrees with Bull is when they fight back and forth about if something was good or very good, great or good, or bad or average. Other than that, it's better when Adam does most of the talking.

I'm a huge sports fan, and I really like Adam and how he runs a show, to the point that I used to listen to him online at WFAN.

I really wanted to make this my afternoon appointment listening, but after the first hour, I've started to make the switch back to Alan Cox. It seems like they have to spend the 5 hours on only one or two topics, because Dustin doesn't have enough range to do more.

If it were Adam and Ken I'd try to listen to the whole show.

92.3 has two weak hosts. Dustin Fox and Jeff Phelps both for some separate reasons. Dustin just is not ready for a prime time slot in PM drive in a major market. He should be doing weekends at most now. Jeff Phelps simply comes across as not caring at all. You can tell when he talks anything other than Cavaliers his interest is not there. The only reason the interest for the Cavaliers is there is because he is getting a paycheck.

It will be interesting to see how Bull/Fox handle things now that football is over, though the draft is coming up of course. Wonder if they will re-tool the show at all once the first year is up. Haven't seen any ratings, but The Hooligans in my opinion is a very solid show over on KNR, and really the perfect counter-programming for KNR to go up against The Fan in afternoon drive.

Between those two shows...then throw in Alan Cox and Triv just doing the general talk, afternoon drive is pretty competitive here in Cleveland.
