Ken Leighton has zero jounalistic integrity. Just my $.02

It just seems that he never has a kind word to say about anyone. I mean, why talk about how Radio rallied behind the community in the wake of the wildfires, (or any of the countless other instances where Radio steps up to serve in the interest of the public good). His brand of sensationalized pseudo-journalism serves nothing but his own ego.

If you had been reading The Reader for the last 30+ years you'd know that Ken and every other Reader writer follows The Reader's basic model for spinning the news and because it is not a daily newspaper which pretends to be objective, it's writers are able to put their personal views into their articles, much like Chris does at sdradio.net and what's his name does at sandiegoradionews.com: none of them are objective journalists - but then, who is???

Adam Corolla back in San Diego - oh well, at least it's not the Frosty, Heidi & Frank....

I listed to Cantore a bit this morning. They had a ton of letters and calls from listeners basically saying "Thanks for the memories and enjoy the holiday break." Did they actually make it official and say that they weren't going to come back on the air next year?

Are you guys sure that the rumor is Cantore? I mean, the guy (along with his crew) put together a hell of a morning show. It really hits the target. I do know that Finest City cut that one jick loose the other day, cant rem his name, but it wasnt Cantore. Cantores still up on the 91X webpage.

So, basically, Ken Leighton is correct with his earlier column. Yes?

From this week's Blurt column in the Reader:

"Chris Cantore, host of the 91X morning show for 11 years, signed off on December 14, saying he was not sure if he would be coming back after a two-week vacation.

When asked, Manning did not deny looking into replacing Cantore with a nationally syndicated morning show; however, he says the next 91X morning show will be live and local. But, Manning says he is looking "outside San Diego" for morning-show talent."

It doesn't sound like Cantore is coming back if the guy in charge is looking for new talent. Which is too bad because I thought Cantore put on a decent show, but hopefully they can find a good replacement for him that isnt named Adam Carolla.
