Adding 95.1 WACF-Young Harris to our group

Didnt have to buy an anonymous AM to get an FM signal this time LOL....this is the station formerly known as "95.1 Best Mix in the Sticks" doing rock for the college kids....the Fraziers had a good business going before the recession, I'm told...it's a good Class A signal all the way to East Ellijay and then back northeast to Franklin, NC. Even picked it up a little bit north of Jasper the other day. The seller Art Karmgard is a terrific engineer and the facilities are impressive - nice Harris consoles, generators, two STLs, tons of backup. It'd be hard for the weather to beat us....after the monstrosity of cables and cobwebs I bought from the previous WCHM owner, this is the Taj Mahal.....The people on that side of the mountain are starved for local information radio and have supported WJUL in a way that is heartwarming...there's only one other "local" FM within 30 miles.
 
Congrats Jeff ! That is indeed a well equipped facility. I'm the Harris rep that worked with John Mullinix (engineer) to put the station on the air. I haven't been up that way in months but the station was thumping nicely last time I tuned it up. I hope they cut back some of those trees surrounding the tower site. Short stick with a lot of tall wood around it.

Art sold me the Sine System RFC-1B from the WYHG station the printer for it is at Arts office I should come get it and Art said I could get one of the Harris AM mod mont too so you know that I paid Art for that I hope it will all be safe I can come get I am @ [email protected] and thanks Allen
