Additional data along a dedicated ISDN STL?

We run a Comrex ISDN codec into a bonded 128K (2x64K) Adtran ISU. Does anyone have a way or know of a way to share such a connection to insert some data from the studio computer (such as RDS) that can be extracted at the transmitter site (so it can be sent to the RDS encoder). I guessing that the codec doesn't need all of the bandwidth and I would like to find a way to insert some data. Has anyone heard of such a thing? (no broadband, except for expensive ISDN and T1 available at the tower site, so wanting to use the existing ISDN)

Are you using a Nexus codec? On both ends? According to the manual, aux data transmission is supported via DB-9 serial I/O. http://comrex.com/assets/manuals/nexus.pdf page 35.

I've shot RDS data down all sorts of links. The hardest part is figuring the pin in/outs/jumps; each piece of equipment has its own quirks.

I am guessing you are using the DXR.1...a quick scope of the manual says nothing about the ability of sending data other than the data used by the DXR...As D_T says the Nexus does support 4800 baud ancillary data via a DB-9 connector...The Nexus is a DXP.1 with an Adtran ISU 128 (more or less) built in...

I would send Comrex an e-mail or give them a call...They have always been super helpful when I have contacted them...
