Adell vs. Comcast

http://www.freep.com/story/entertai...work-fcc-complaint-carriage-dispute/95058350/

My money is on Comcast.

Adell has WADL airing anti-Comcast messages. The complaints to the FCC will go nowhere. Word isn't 'shall carry' and will still be available in many markets.

The FCC auction doesn't look like it'll allow Adell to cash out like he thought either. I guess he'll just have to content himself with having millions, not hundreds of millions.

When I first saw the messages on WADL, I thought there was a threat by Comcast to stop carrying that channel, which I don't believe is possible giving must carry rules. That not being the case, I could care less.

Word is Adell's cash cow, but with people like Jackson getting the message that they can have a piece of this, Adell's share of the pie will keep shrinking.

Maybe WADL will switch from must-carry to retransmission consent so they can get even more money.
