Z100 Announces New Afternoon Jock
Aug. 21, 2006
By Keith Berman

JJ Kincaid, currently in afternoon drive at KHKS (106.1 Kiss FM)/Dallas, heads to the gaping afternoon vacancy at top 40 WHTZ (Z100)/New York, replacing Paul "Cubby" Bryant, who's now co-hosting the Premiere-syndicated "Wake Up With Whoopi," based out of Z100 clusterbuddy WKTU.

Kincaid has been with Kiss since March 2004, and his resume also includes stops at KDWB/Minneapolis, WKST (Kiss 96.1)/Pittsburgh and WNVZ (Z104)/Norfolk.

*I wonder who they will bring in ? Atom Smasher from Houston ? Or you think he will try and stick to mornings?

I'll miss listening to him. He made me laugh out loud on many occasion.

It's sad to see my idol leaving DFW. I'd love to see Atom Smasher from Houston move in, but I don't know of the possiblity of that. One could only hope.

Wow, will the last person left on the air in DFW please stand up! Congrats to JJ, much deserved!

J.J. was definitely one of the best radio talents left in the metroplex. He's smooth, and a quick wit. Good luck to him!!
