Adobe Audition Question (?)

As this seems to be the Adobe Audition Forum:

I have several directories I save audio in and Audition (1.5), apparently after awhile, it will learn what the default format (PCM WAV/MP3 etc)I want for each directory. Audio that goes to the automation is ALWAYS PCM-WAV while my archived audio is ALWAYS mp3. Does Audition learn this and how?

I inadvertantly saved a spot as an mp3 about a week ago instead of PCM-WAV. I have since deleted the mp3 version so there are no longer any mp3's in that particular directory. Since then Audition always wants to save anything into THAT directory as mp3 and I have to manually change the format every time. I went through this before and it took the better part of a month for it to figure out what format I want to save in. Is this my imagination or is there a setting somewhere hidden that keeps up with this sort of thing?

Audition will save to the most recent format used, unless you're opening an existing file. For instance, if you open an mp3 and edit it and try to re-save, Audition will default to mp3. And if you save one file to .wav, the next file you save should default to .wav. AFAIK, there's no "learning" for this sort of behavior.
