Adobe Audition question...

when I record in multi-track...it records in stereo only in one channel, so then I have to bounce it down mono. how do you record mono in auditions multitrack view?

Dylan

Geez dylan, my question is WHY do you want that? I imagine you are having filesize issues which makes me wonder why dont just upgrade your storage? As far as I know there is no way to record mono in the multitracker unless you have a setting for your soundcard that can do it. You can choose a single channel to record either left or right if you right click the track name (just above the "RSM" buttons) but I usually just record in single track and drag into the multi track later for mixing

You should be able to select L, R or stereo in the track routing dialogue. Recording in multitrack, you must choose a channel to record. Edit view records only a mono sum. As far as I know, recording a sum in multitrack isn't possible, nor is designating a single channel to be the mono feed in edit view.
