Adventure is on the move!

From allaccess a few days ago:TRIAD BROADCASTING CO. is buying Classic Hits WGZO (THE DRIVE)/PARRIS ISLAND-HILTON HEAD, SC from ZIP COMMUNICATIONS for an undisclosed sum. TRIAD has been selling the time on THE DRIVE under a JSA since SEPTEMBER 1, 2000. TRIAD is also selling, through its ADVENTURE COMMUNICATIONS, its Adult Alternative WWVV (THE WAVE 104.9)/HILTON HEAD to J.B. BROADCASTING, a subsidiary of BROOMFIELD BROADCASTING. The deal was brokered by KALIL AND CO. Thoughts?

Well, I'm not sure. Both stations perform poorly in Savannah, ratings & signal-wise. I'd hate to see Wave go, though.G

Well, I kinda saw this one comming. Even after Adventure moved the cluster over to the mall, Wave stayed at Sea Pine Circle. Considering the fact that J.B. Broadcasting owns no other stations, I would be curious if they buy another station and if they flip Wave...possibly to spanish?

Anybody know who stays and goes with the sale?

Ditto that about Wave. It'd be a real shame, as it's really the only thing worth a damn on this city's radio dial (and the only one I really listen to).For the AAA format to disappear from this market would mark a real blow to playlist diversity and hearing newer songs from bands like Death Cab For Cutie and others. That's the last thing we need -- more cookie-cutter radio.

If someone from JB Broadcasting reads this --stick with the format, please! :'(
