Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog's reported CPTV airings?

Apparently, friend just messaged me saying that Reddit's Mandela Effect subreddit claims Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog was on PBS in some areas. So far, they only know CPTV aired it, as somebody said they watched it on there. He then went on to inform it was from 1994 to 96, at 6:30 PM EST, and shared a timeslot with another show; making its airings irregular. Problem is, CPTV has 4 stations, and AoStH aired in Hartford on WTXX (which used to be a PBS station in the early 50s?) according to this fourm. I, myself, remember watching it in Harlem on WPIX every weekday at 8 AM EST, I think that's why I never really watched Sesame Street as a child. I know Sega sponsored GhostWriter, made SS, Magic School Bus and Barney games for the Genesis, and a costumed Sonic did an appearance at a local mall accompanied by a costumed Barney (never saw it in person, but I know it happened thanks to reading a lot alt.barney.dinosaur.die.die.die with my neighbor back in 1994.) Any Connecticut natives here who can confirm this ain't false memory or a Mandela effect of that guy's own? (By the way, there's another thread on that subreddit where they tried to look for evidence of Rugrats airing on PBS. My answer - perhaps it was a local thing, as I think I might remember Captain Infinity on KCET showing Rugrats back when I'd go to LA on vacation for E3.)
