Advertising For Gambling Programs

Does anyone know the restrictions/requirements for advertising sports book/online gambling services on radio. One of our local stations here runs ads for a couple of them. I thought I heard that this was not legal???

As I have understood the restrictions...

You are not allowed to carry any show, spot, or program that can send you to a site where you can place a bet or to a site that has a link to ANY place where you can place a bet.
A lot of stations have cut back to maybe one if not any of those horrible excuses for radio. The problem is they pay hella jack and in a ton of smaller markets the money they pay basically is about the programming budget of that station for a month.

I wish they would just go a way!!! Unfortunately they are not going anywhere. Hey... look at all the pre-season mags. From Lindys, to Sporting News, to Athlon, seemingly every ad is a gaming/prep service. Its not just radio where its a problem. But radio pays a bigger price on one end... we have to sit through those horrific excuses for radio. Has anyone heard the WiseGuys?? Just shoot me now.
