Advertising in Nashville

Looking for armchair observers of the Nashville market to give me their two cents.

I have a friend who lives and is building a business in Franklin, TN...he is wanting to reach business owners with his service.

What stations specifically would you encourage him to place his advertising with? I have not done any market research as of yet but will be starting it soon.

I can tell you he is wanting to place 20-25 spots per week for a long term buy.

If you are in sales for a station in the Nashville Market that would meet this requirement, shoot me a message here on Radio-Info and I will get in touch with you.

Thanks

Your request is a little vague. What kind of business and who is the target demo. If your friend is looking at a more local response within Williamson County radio may be too broad. Consider pinpointing your target with cable tv. You can isolate your spots by zip code preference and wind up being more efficient.

20-25 spots a week on a mon-fri 6am-6pm basis isn't bad but you're not telling us the big picture..how long a schedule .. in 4th quarter you risk being one of many making a Christmas pitch...and a lot of radio spots in Nashville don't have a lot of recall and impact.

Think of the best radio spot you heard and remembered and ask why...then ask why you don't remember most of them. You can also target efficiently with direct mail.
If you can't put together a convincing message with 30 second tv or radio, do 15s on tv with a great hook and direct them to a knock out website.

Sorry to be vague...I'll try to clear up some of the stuff I left out.

He is trying to reach business owners of all sizes. He owns a Internet Hosting company...along with it he offers web creation.

He is not looking to hit the Christmas cycle and get lost in the clutter.

His buy would be for at least 6 months.

Direct mail is not what he is wanting...he wants an ad campaign that can tie into a stations web presence so that the stations traffic can also be encouraged to visit his company website.

Thing is, he wants to reach BUSINESS OWNERS...what station in Nashville do owners of business listen to?

How come he has taken a look at Franklin's Hometown Station, WAKM? That is a good station to start with!

The other Franklin station, WHEW.......we'll I don't speak spanish.

I would buy on WAKM and then onto the Nashville stations.

Just my 2 cents worth.
