Hi,
The internet radio station that I co-manage (as a volunteer) received a PR&E ABX-26 console as a donation. As far as we know it is 100% functional as it was being used in another setup by a marketing company before being donated to us. We also received a large box with additional channel strips, meters, various modules etc. We have two power supplies and a lot of cables w/molex connectors, and the manual.
We were planning on putting it into service but we are now moving to a nicer but smaller space and it is just too big for our space and overkill for our needs. So we are wondering:
- Should we try to sell the whole kit and kaboodle on eBay? We are in Asheville, NC and shipping I am sure would be rather pricey.
- Should we try to sell the parts and just send the frame to a metal recycler?
I know that this is a very high-quality board that was used in both production and broadcast applications and I dislike the idea of dismantling if someone would want it for a studio. But, we need the money to put towards a board that will fit our space (like an AudioArts AIR 3) and we don't have space to store this board and all the parts.
I contacted Mr. Moore at Mooretronix but he did not sound interested in this console.
If you have interest in this board please contact me at [email protected]. We'd be happy to get $1200-1500 for all of it.
Thanks,
Sean
