Advice to the New Guys

I'm channeling the ghost of Not So Silent Bob from a previous lifetime of this board, in order to ask the kind of topical question he occasionally would lay down on us:

We now have in town new PDs for Jack and KDF, and a new Cumulus market manager is on his way up from the panhandle. What would your advice be to the new guys? What do you want them to know about their stations, their competition, and their new market? What changes do you want them to make? What do you want them to leave alone? How can they best compete? Should they hit the ground running, or hit the ground and run?

Rent an apartment and don't unpack your bags.

Nock

My advice to the Cumulus hire: grow eyes in the back of your head. Monitor your server for outgoing dissent email. Toss out the Blake Fulton resume.

To the KDF hire: those albums left behind from the Ebay auction and sale are likely cue burned Genesis and Phil Collins albums. Steve Dickert is available. I still have my KDF rock card.
