After 11 Months, WPEN Finally A Blip On The PPM Radar

It took awhile, but Sports Radio 950 finally registered on the Philly PPM numbers recently released yesterday, debuting at 28th place, while its long-establsihed rival WIP is tied for 10th place.

Meanwhile, B101 still has a commanding lead in cume, with 'OGL second once again; but KYW is nipping at B's heels in terms of market share... And, WYSP's cume has reached the 1 million mark.

The complete lowdown:

I'm glad that WPEN is finally showing up in the ratings. It was about time. I thought there was some sort of problem with something with the PPM or arbitron which caused WPEN not to show up in the ratings for all this time.

Incidentally, for you conspiracy theorists, it's interesting that WPEN now shows up in the PPM under its current format, ranking by share, whereas it was non-existent in its previous format, ranking by cume.

Watch YSP. Their Oct and Nov cumes have increased alot. They'll be a player in strong shares if they keep it up.
