After 25 years, COPS on Fox is cancelled

Ever since they switched from 'full-screen' to widescreen, it doesn't look right to me. I'm not talking about the aspect ratio, only the quality of the video. That 'cable reality tv documentary' look on the video really bothers me.

If you confused on what I'm talking about, just compare an episode of COPS from the '90s to one made within the last couple of years. You will see the difference in video quality besides the aspect ratio.

To me the recent HD episodes of COPS appear to have been filmized (i.e. given the look and feel of having been shot on film). Compared to 90's SD episodes which bear all the hallmarks of video tape.

On a slightly related topic, has America's Most Wanted also been canceled? The AMW website is still up and
Lifetime's website has a page for it, but it has not run on Friday night for a number of weeks now.

AMW is expected to be back March 15th on Lifetime, if not March 8th.

C'mon, people! Get out there and commit some more felonies. We need content! ;D

A release form? C'mon. The Supreme Court ruled that citizens can film police officers in a public place.

Just google Austin's Peaceful Streets Project.

I still can't believe it has still been on for so long.

I just hope they land new episodes on the cable network.

Fox going more into sports, I can see the cable and satellite companies held hostage again over carriage. I really don't watch that much sports, with the exception of the San Antonio Spurs every now and then. From what I recently heard, Sinclair (which airs some Fox stations is battling it out with Direct TV) I guess next year Time Warner will either pull Fox off the lineup during the carriage hostage negotiations, or raise cable rates, YAY!!!
