After 31 Year Absence, KEMO-TV Returns Back To The Air!!!

Albeit this time to virtual Channel 50. New owner is Terry Crosby, the son of Leon Crosby who owned the original KEMO-TV Channel 20 from 1972-80 before selling it to Jim Gabbert. Unlike the original KEMO-TV which was very Eclectic in programming (mostly Spanish Language but also aired Sunday Night Asian Programming, Religious Shows like The 700 Club & The PTL Club, and All Night Movies (English Language B-Grade Films from 1930's to 50's). Hosted by Leon Heskett as well as Old Sourdough (the latter moved to KGSC-TV Channel 36). There was also "The Worst Of Hollywood" with host Bob Deckelman (A Poor Man Version of Bob Wilkins).

But the new KEMO-TV will not be Eclectic, rather they will be 100% Spanish Language!

and also KOFY is eclectic now even though Granite has 20 now with the New Dance Party and Old Dance Party with some classicTV. However the Retro Night line-up on 20 has been scaled back. also 20 now has its own localized version of cash cab.

KOFY has eliminated the classic Dance Party, just the current Dance Party. Yes, not only has Retro-Night been scaled back, but the only classic tv shows left is STAR TREK THE NEXT GENERATION which I hear will be dropped soon. I really think that KOFY should either pick Me-TV that is being dropped by KFTY or Antenna TV. If not on their main channel, perhaps on one of their digital sub-channels?

I'm majorly bummed about KFTY -- I've been watching Me-TV a lot lately. The "Chuckles Bites the Dust" episode of MTM was scheduled for later this week. Here's hoping KCNS switches from RTV to Me-TV (the latter is far superior).
