After the Flip... "Rock 105 - Macon's Quality Rock"

Now we know... Cumulus flipped WIFN from sports to rock. They are IDing the station as WROK, Rock 105. First few songs were by Green Day, U2, Cage The Elephant, Coldplay and INXS.

Can't be any worse than Q106. They mentioned their first contest, giving away tickets today to a concert in Atlanta tomorrow, courtesy of their "sister stations" in Atlanta - Q100.5 and 99X

Rock 105 Macon = Rock 100.5 Atlanta, right down to the slogan and all. They just copied and pasted the format down there. Their morning show, "The Regular Guys", which aired in Dallas, TX for a while until a flip there, may come on as well. (FYI: Q100 moved to 99.7 last year. 99X is now on an low-power translater on 97.9 after a year as HD only).

Yeah, I goofed when I wrote Q100.5. The liner did say "Rock 100.5". I even have Rock 100.5 on one of my presets... D'oh! It doesn't always come in, but sometimes is listenable. Used to have 99X before the change. Can't get 99X now (on 97.9) obviously, but listen when we're anywhere north of McDonough.

As for the new Rock 105, they haven't impressed me too much. Just heard Boston, followed by Steve Miller Band. Not exactly breaking new ground there.
