I'm confused. What do you mean, the "DJ's will stay?"
Kristin Charles, Susan Carr, and Fred McFarlin, all AGH DJs, will continue to work for the NEW ALL NEWS 106.7

my friend tripp isn't there, or at least i'm not aware if he is. so all the djs didn't stay.

He was out at the first of the month. I said all CURRENT DJs will be staying.

I'am glad Greg Tallmadge is back, working at allnews106.7 won't be a problem for him because he use to work at WSB in the 80's and he also worked at WGST when it was owned by JCorr.

AM Lover told me that he is also staying. While he won't be reading the news, he will be heard on commercials.

I'm sure he will be. *sarcasm* He is a great addition.

How are they going to handle weather? Are they going to have their own in-house weather folks or are they going to farm it out to the weather channel, etc.? I assume probably the latter, but just wondering.

Haven't heard, though there are a few possibilities. Meteorologist John Askins is going to do weather in the mornings. He used to be on TWC. Then, in other dayparts, TWC or a local media TV station (like 11Alive or Fox5) would handle weather. This way, they can claim that they have a detailed and complete weather center. WSB only has one meteorologist, who is VTed. John Askins says this in his bio (to the BM, I am not copying anyone's work and pasting it....):
It really is an honor to be part of this great team.

For me, this is a chance for me to put my skills as both a professional journalist and meteorologist to good use. When I see the massive amount of talent in this newsroom, I know we're going to deliver the finest news, sports, and weather coverage you'll find on the radio or on the web.

And since we're all news all the time, we're going to give you all this valuable stuff without some spin-miester jumping in to tell you what to think.

Wow! A radio station that treats its listeners like grown ups! What a concept.

Mike Francis or me..............

Andy Rose and Anna Hovind might anchor moning news 5-10am. I am texting right now with someone from inside the station. I think these people are all great personalities. I think this is going to be a great station. If I could only remember the name of the guy who is VOing the "announcment" after the first song of every hour.

It makes sense that they are not going jockless, as they first planned to, because of the fact they're going to stay.

Thanks to "EJM", V/O GUY AT WYAY-ALL NEWS IS JIM CUTLER

Sooooo, Yeah. I will try to find some of his work for you guys. Thanks for pointing this out to me, EMJ.

Susab Carr.

Sorry to "Susan Carr", I mispelled her name.

Re: Thanks to "EJM", V/O GUY AT WYAY-ALL NEWS IS JIM CUTLER

Interesting choice... he usually does Clear Channel stations, like WLW in Cincinnati

Fox 5 had been doing the weather on 106.7 for a long time, they could do like WNGC in Athens does with John Weatherbee,he gives the forecast and then the dj gives the temp and conditions for some of the cities in the listening area.

Re: Thanks to "EJM", V/O GUY AT WYAY-ALL NEWS IS JIM CUTLER

Isn't he also the voice guy for Braves baseball on 680 and Rock 100.5 as well?
