First Jessica's gone. Now the PD - Lee Logan's shown the door? What's next?

Sorry to hear about Lee & The Range Rovers.

The Question I guess is will the format wheel spin? and what will it land on? I put my money on a format to go up against Kiss. What do ya'll feel will happen ist Bye bye Melre and Hello Kanye

I just read on NMBA.org that KAGM is looking for a PD and an Air Talent. My question was the Ax that fell for Budget Reasons? Or is this a way to throw off the market to a format flip?

AGM apparently can't compete. They blew it badly when they tried News/Talk. KRST and KQBI would welcome the few listeners if The Range bites the dust. KISS sounds pretty hot and has that audience tucked in. So, what's left... another simulcast on FM of KKIM like in Santa Fe now? It's cheap!

FM Talk will work, but you have to go with fresh. They screwed up going with Ahrens, Anderson, Jackson, and Sisneros. All dinosaurs and all very expensive. With some younger people and some different ideas FM talk could take off and do well.

It's very strange that AGM doesn't develop the Range..good format for Albuquerque, but some research into the core audience and what they want to hear should be done. It is strange to have an entire station on the air, but only live in certain dayparts. KKSS could use some competition, but is hip-hop longevity worth it? CD sales are slipping, and there seems to be an aversion by advertisers to buy the format. KKSS is hip-hop, but female oriented and listenable.
What else is left? Difficult decision in an over-radioed market.

As I said in another thread, I disappointed to hear the Range format isn't working(again). They have such a great country variety and actually play classics, something that KRST and KBQI's classic country shows on the weekends aren't doing anymore(Sorry I don't think 1996 is classic enough even if its a great song).
