AI controlled news of the future

Viewers will not want to watch A ROBOT (To use the word my sister-in-law LOVES to call Alexa) giving them the news (Bad enough they get that from Alexa itself (Not that I DID NOT say "Herself"??)

We already have AI robots read the news in audio form but then again that varies by demo and publication. I'm not so sure viewers care if the Robot is reading the article or not as long as the core audience gets the news.

CalMatters a California statewide news outlet is one of a few news outlets around the country that has a "Listen to this article" button and their AI bot reads the article.

LA Daily News and Sacramento Bee are other examples of local news outlets having the "listen to the article" button that leads them to their robots reading the article.

Which newscasts gave out false messages about FEMA? All I ever heard from them was debunking those myths. The only thing that might fit what you claim is news outlets carrying political rallies without fact-checking any conspiracy theories contained within them. But when they do that, a certain candidate threatens to sue them...
Would or could an AI system "believe" a social media posting it has seen thousands times? Does the system have the common sense to know that the politically appointed heads at FEMA are going to make sure that the agency will have an proper response less than 2 months before an election.

I have seen TV reporter's that have shown social media posts by celebrities. Has that site been hacked?

There used to be an old saying "garbage in equals garbage out".

If an AI system stays away from social media sites, and only goes to "trusted" sites it might be of use

Every time I look at this tread I can't stop thinking of the old Max Headroom show.

I'm not disputing they have to be GOOD journalists to get paid, whatever platform they're on.

But it's all becoming one platform. If your "video" news is AI, and the "internet" content is AI, it all floods the zone. It's going to get harder to tell who the "legitimate" ones are to follow, and therefore GET paid, regardless of how good they are, or how hard they work.

Platforms - be it the Washington Post or CBS TV had the legitimacy, they were the filter. When you completely obliterate that with AI content, which costs so little to generate, all bets are off.
Nevertheless, there's a faction of America that believes WITH EVERY FIBER OF ITS BEING that's ALL news is FAKE

What's WORSE is that faction just elected THE FIRST CONVICTED FELON to the Presidency & did so under the impression & on the notion that ALL news is FAKE

THE LAST thing the world needs right now is usage of AI in ANY form in the news business as all it'll do is PROVE this belief

How long before AI personalities replace the traditional American local TV news anchor?
It’s not going to happen and never going to happen. There’s still more than enough money to pay for a real life person to present the news. TV stations news talent for the community to connect with. That’s not going to change. Viewers would tune out instantly if they knew if they were watching an AI anchor.
