They got it wrong.

Probably through misinterpertation of the word "Signs".

What it really means is that, to raise some cash, AAR has struck a deal to have an expert with Rush on a pair of earphones stand in front of a microphone and "sign" what Rush is saying, word for word. A boon to the hearing-impaired, including Mr. Limbaugh who will have AAR is his 'phones as he broadcasts.

Yes, a technical hurdle or two to be overcome, but AAR management is confident...........

I don't often listen to him but on the few occasions I can't recall ever hearing him advertising Viagara, Cialis, Levitra, or even Enzyte. Defintely not that new yogurt where they superimpose little green apples on the tummies of good looking women...the apples then form a downward pointing apple that suggests the product will have you ....ing little green apples.

A new low (you should pardon the expression) in advertising? Hmmmmm. Probably wouldn't translate well to radio.......though at least as well has the "sign" where all this madness started.

Yeah.

Do YOU realize the implications of someone with a radio tuned to a station on which someone was silently facing a microphone "signing" for the benefit of the audience? What do you suppose such a listener might hear? Or could you call a person gazing at the radio a "listener"?

But I'll bet there are audiologists standing in line to buy advertising on such a station! The dangers of over-specialization!

Seriously, a TV station I worked for years ago signed off with a prayer offered by a priest who both spoke and signed the prayer. A well-meant gesture by the station. Until a hearing-aid dealer contacted a salesperson wanting to sponsor the prayer and the sale was almost signed (signature, not gesture) when cooler heads prevailed and vetoed the whole thing!
