Air America to settle Multicultural lawsuit

From the NY Sun:
http://www.nysun.com/article/23238

"Air America Radio has reached agreement on terms that would settle a lawsuit brought by Multicultural Radio Broadcasting, according to representatives from both companies. The terms of the settlement were undisclosed, and a formal agreement had yet to be signed.

"The settlement would terminate a lawsuit filed with the New York Supreme Court in May, in which Multicultural was seeking more than $1.5 million in damages from the liberal radio network."

Gawd that is a funny picture. Escpecially the Halliburton reference. Nearly busted a gut!

Halliburton should buy AAR. It'd be good business strategy: Make money by making mistakes, and make a little more money by owning the radio shows that complain about said mistakes. :)

The Liberal Talk Radio Update</P>

YAWN!

This is really old news.

AAR bounced checks in LA and Chicago a year and a half ago. They got evicted from the stations they had leased. The lawyers got busy.

Maybe the landlord now wishes he had waited a while. He'd be collecting rent from AAR (likely more than he's getting for brokered time on his stations now, and for a lot less work).

He may have done AAR a favor. They got out of the LMAs and were ultimately forced to go to a more standard syndication model, which works better for them. They also got a lot of attention and there is no such thing as bad publicity. Just goes to show Clear Channel (which owned 4th original AAR station in Portland, OR and hung in with progressive talk)is smarter than this small-time bottom-feeding doofus, wasting AM bandwidth with brokered foreign lanaguage programming.

I'm sorry. Your point was?

PS: Sloppy job doctoring the photo.

Re: YAWN!

this is a pretty sleazy history rewrite, you must be internal at A.A.R.

You didn't read about that in the NY Sun either. Amazing how right-wing talk show "problems" don't seem to get any newsprint in papers like that, but if someone doesn't put enough postage on a letter and tries to mail it at AAR, it's a scandal.

Based on how O'Reilly is treating his radio co-host, I have a feeling there will be another sexual harrassment lawsuit coming his way soon enough.
