air studio on fire...got to see this one!!

So no one has ever had anything similar to this happen?

I remember WEBN always used to smell like smoke...but for other reasons ;)
 
Too bad more stations don't catch fire. Figuratively and literally.

Should try and get a job there. I hear they're on fire!

I remember many years ago on a Sunday morning the station then known as WOHP-1390 Bellefontaine burned. They had a pay for pray guy in the studio and he must have laid on the fire part of fire and brimstone a little too much.

Actually it was the transmitter which in a lot of small AM stations in those days was either in the control room or behaind glass in the next room so they could take readings and such. I think they were off the air for nearly a month.

That hog report must have been pretty important. Actually, no, the unmanned station would have had an alarm system and police and fire would have been called..
