Aircheck: Imus-WABC First Hour

Listened live on the west coast for the whole deal online.

Embarrassing, tired crap. Same old thing.

Imus will be lucky to last 5 years.

LinoNYC:
its saying its passed bandwith capacity do you have any other ways to download it???

Greetings from Pittsburgh...thanks for posting the aircheck, which I thoroughly enjoyed. WABC gets kudos for the almost-subliminal Imus quack-quack in the top of the hour ID which has been hyping his return and which appears here at 6 a.m. As sweet as the chime with respect to heritage and rare subtlety for today's radio.

This is OT, but is Curtis expected to continue at 5 to 6A for very long? Love him or hate him, it seems like such a waste. If he's still under contract, I guess this is one way of honoring it (or encouraging him to exit). Also OT, but WABC typically still comes in solidly here in Pittsburgh and, while I can see arguments about the esthetics and execution, Mark Simone's Saturday night program is a treat the way it beams into Pittsburgh Saturday night. Long live reverb ;).
