Aircheck: WBPM - Cool 92.9 - The Last Shows

I was listening to Cool 92.9 today that all three of these jocks are gone from that station, because WBPM is flipping to classic hits according to All Access. I missed oldies so much, it was a great format. :( I left the radio on when I left for work to record it on DVD burner to hear the last hour of Rick McCaffery and Tony Flash on that station. When I came home, I record the last 30 minutes of Rick Knight along with his famous last sign-off made by Allan Sniffen of "Board Reflections" and the NYRMB. This was one great show after another. Later on, I will record the aircheck of the format flip. All this and more I will be posting it by tomorrow.

I'm so sad to see the station go. Rick McCaffery goes to WKIP this Friday for the "Solid Gold Jukebox" and Tony Flash will go to WCZR's "Cruisin' 93.5" to do weekends, it's the end of oldies in the Hudson Valley. Will have to post it tomorrow.

Here is the aircheck of Rick McCaffery's last morning show on Cool 92.9

That sad thing is that I recorded that aircheck at 12:00 PM, but all I hear was an hour of dead air until 1:05 PM. I recorded it right up until 1:00 PM right before the format flip. The launch of the new format started at 1:15 PM and I missed it, all I have is the first day of new format as Classic Hits 92.9. I will post it later.

I've tried listening to the new 92.9, but personally can't stand their choice in music. :'( Going back to the old : "if it ain't broke, why fix it?" why the change?
