AIRCHECK: WIBF (nee WDRE) format change

This is the actual change of the soon to be DRE from Ethnic to Alternative, and no name is used for the sign on...A couple of very dry "WIBF-FM Jenkintown" IDs..Just some references poking fun of AOR radio, and the end of the Ethnic format, which gives the 'turning over' of the station a pretty neat sound.

I just downloaded it. Man, did I get hit with a flashback. I was close with the Creole guess, it was actually French religious stuff, haha. I remembered that night when everyone in my family was asleep, I was awake, and I was really compelled by what I've heard. I was only 14 and I have never actually heard a format change before, especially one with stunting, so I was really intrigued. Add to the fact that I have just lost my one other alternative outlet a few months prior to this, with the CBC's Brave New Waves on WXPN overnights, well... Undoubtedly it was the closest thing to fate as I have ever gotten, haha. Seriously, big props for the aircheck, Tony, it's all coming back to me now....<P ID="edit"><FONT class="small">Edited by Laputa on 01/20/06 11:56 PM.</FONT></P>
