I am beginning a new series that will include airchecks from across the world. From the United States and Mexico to England and Singapore, this series will focus on airchecks from various countries. Throughout the weekend, we'll focus on airchecks from Mexico.
First up...here is an aircheck of XHQJ 105.9, a Guadalajara, Mexico-based radio station that is known on-air as "105.9FM Extasis Digital" and operates with 29,950 watts of power. The station mostly broadcasts pop hits from the United States. Enjoy this aircheck as there will be more to come. I would like to apologize if the quality of this aircheck is not good and I hope all of you will understand.
This weekend, we are focusing our attention to Mexico. Mexico has some of the best radio stations as well as great music.
Next up...an aircheck from Mexico City, Mexico-based radio station XEQR ("La X"). The station operates at 107.3 and has an effective radiated power of 92,320 watts. The station airs a music format that includes salsa and grupera music.
Throughout this weekend, we are continuing to focus on radio stations in Mexico. I am loving these radio stations. I may just go ahead and focus on Mexico all this week. But anyhow, here is another great radio aircheck from Mexico.
This aircheck is of another radio station out of Mexico City, Mexico. XHRED ("Radio Red FM 88.1") is a station that broadcasts English contemporary hits plus the latest news. The station broadcasts on 88.1 and has an effective radiated power of 95,128 watts. Although they broadcast in Spanish, it is such a wonderful radio station to listen to. At a few points during the broadcast day, they play an oldie that can take you back to the first time you heard it.

This aircheck is of radio station XEEW ("Los 40 Principales"), broadcasting on 97.7 from Matamoros, Mexico. Despite having an effective radiated power of 2,860 watts, the station mainly broadcasts Mexican comtemporary hits.

This next aircheck is of XERI ("Radio Rey"), a radio station located in Reynosa, Mexico. The station operates at 810AM with a daytime power output of 1,000 watts and a nighttime power output of only 100 watts. The station broadcasts a CHR format in Spanish featuring Mexican contemporary hits.

Next up...an aircheck of XHVS-FM ("Máxima 96") in Hermosillo, Mexico. The station operates on two frequencies, XHVS 96.3 and XEVS 1110. XEVS 1110 operates with 1,000 watts of daytime power and 250 watts of nighttime power. XHVS 96.3 operates with an effective radiated power output of 3,000 watts. The station broadcasts a CHR format which includes contemporary hits from the United States and Mexico. On the weekends, the station broadcasts a countdown show. In this aircheck, the end of this week's Máxima countdown show is included.

Next up...an aircheck of XHAV-FM ("RMX"), a radio station serving Guadalajara, Mexico. The station broadcasts on 100.3 and operates with an effective radiated power output of 97,090 watts. The station airs an alternative music format in Spanish with rock hits in English and Spanish.

Next up...an aircheck of XHGTS-FM ("Digital 107.3"), a radio station serving Laredo, Texas and Nuevo Laredo, Mexico. The station broadcasts on 107.3 and operates with an effective radiated power output of 23,000 watts. The station airs a musical format comprised of contemporary hits in Spanish and English.
