Airchecks: JRN Smooth Jazz Network February 2004

For those of you mourning the upcoming demise of the JRN Smooth Jazz format, here are five airchecks of the network recorded in February 2004. These were all taken from the Jacksonville, FL affiliate. The original feed was streamed at 32 kbps, but these were encoded at 192/44.1 stereo. All of these are over 100 MB. Here are the links:

This is the first time I have used sendspace, so please let me know if these links work. Enjoy!

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU ;D

Now this is what I call Smooth Jazz. Some of these tracks I've never heard before in my life, but they sound so good, relaxing, and refreshing. It's sad to know that we won't hear this kind of variety on the air anymore. I just don't understand how superior products like this always seem to fail and we get stuck with crap like BA, no offense to anyone.

Do you think we could possibly see the JRN make a comeback on the Internet? I believe Jay Lang from WJZW created his SJ Internet radio station.
