Here is a recording of KKSF's "Sunday Morning" program, which was recorded on 20 September 1992. You'll have to thank my girlfriend Elizabeth for this aircheck--she grew up in the Bay Area and two of her friends were regular listeners to the station. They made the recording and gave it to her. Prior to KKSF, KBLX was the station that was most likely to play contemporary jazz in San Francisco. The station played slow tempo R&B, and added jazz to the mix in a way that sounded great. Here are two hours of KBLX, from 28 and 30 July 1983:
