Airchecks: KLBU, JRN, Breeze Folder updates

Last night I added some new airchecks to my shared files. There are four additional airchecks from KLBU (Blu 102.9) Pecos-Santa Fe, NM, from May 2004. Another is a JRN Aircheck from 26 February 2004, which I posted on sendspace a few weeks ago.

With a download limit of 100 MB per file, I dropped the bitrate of these mp3's to 96/44.1. These recordings came off the web and had 32k streams at best, so one should not see much of a quality loss. Whoever processed KLBU did a great job--their audio chain really sparkled back then.

I also added additional airchecks from The Breeze Network. Originally I recorded them on 45 cassette tapes and six open reel tapes, hence the way they are labeled.

The files can be found in these folders:

Jazz FM: http://www.4shared.com/dir/2254631/d96f9d61/Jazz_FM_Files.html

I have been recording various JRN SJ affiliates heavily for the past month--has anyone else? KMGK dropped their affiliation last week ahead of waiting for the network's closing down at the end of the month. I'll post more airchecks from JRN if there is enough of an interest for it.

Great stuff, spirit! Smoothguy's post earlier today reminded me to check these out. Thanks so much for posting these. I finally had a chance to cue up the JRN file, which I have been meaning to do. Ah, the memories! I already heard a couple great tracks that are absent from my rotation. Like the pictures we all painted earlier today, listening to this makes me feel like I am in South Padre Island right now, kicking my feet up with a gentle breeze tickling the palm trees while looking out at the Gulf and slowly enjoying a fine glass of California Cabernet Sauvignon after a gourmet meal. It just doesn't get any better! :)

Thanks again,

Chris
