Well, it's actually 4 casinos and 2 hotels with a number of conference rooms, shops, restaurants, etc. all built together as a little neighborhood - all indoors. As you walk between casinos, you feel as though you are sorta outside, walking down a street with restaurants and shops on both sides.
Some of the casinos are slots only, some are 1/2 table games. There are a variety of table games. Most of the table games were quite packed. The slots seemed pretty empty. There were quite a few $15 blackjack tables on both Weds and Thurs night, but the majority were $25. There is a large book making room, which I would have liked to have sat down and bet the horses, but didn't have the time to.
Several keno stations. I won $100 on my 2nd $1 board. But, of course, lost it all.
Additionally, they have a theatre for acts, I see that Foreigner will be there soon and boxing. Club BB King appears to have attractions that bring in some hot women, including the Miss Hawaiian Tropic competition.
The food was awesome. If you go, try the Festival Buffet. Lots of everything.
Make sure you get the Wampum Rewards card if you gamble and use it for everything, slots, table games, keno, etc. If you don't use it for comps, use it when you check out, you'll get something off your bill.
Now, while nice, it doesn't hold a candle to Vegas. First off, it's much more "sedate", if you can call it quite that (because it's not), but it doesn't have that same kind of glitter that Vegas has. I've been to casinos in Arizona, Atlantic City, and Vegas too and none of them has the same glitz as Vegas. Since I don't play the slots usually, I don't know, but I hear the odds are better in Vegas (due to the competition).
Needless to say, 2 days was more than enough at Foxwoods, where you could entertain yourself for a week in Vegas. In fact, you could entertain yourself without gambling for a week there. Foxwoods is in the middle of nowhere, and unless you plan to gamble, there's not much else for you. Not sure about the other CT casino, Mohegan Sun, but my friends who have been there, prefer it.
Good luck Adam if you go.
