AJC downsizing

Rodney's Facebook status would lead me to believe he's 'OK':

Rodney Ho I'm still here - blogging "American Idol" as usual!

Everyone relax. I saw Rodney today. He is fine. He did tell me he has new responsibilities. Along with the AI blog and the RTV section, Rodney will be selling subscriptions to the AJC outside the Kroger on LaVista Rd.

I heard Neal Boortz today offer to pay fo a subscription if someone else could get the "left-wing rag" at their house. He didn't want to have it at his house. Interstingly enough, Captain Herb said that the ajc.com is a subscription service. Shows how much the Capt. knows about his own company,

So you're implying it is really something else? (Expensive doggie poop pad?)
Why murder more innocent trees to continue publishing this ghmuck?

...and if he throws my paper on the roof again I'm letting the air out of his bicycle tires. ;D

I am willing to cut Herb some slack on this one. I heard the exchange between him and Boortz this morning. I had the feeling Neal had talked too long past 8:36:00 and cut into some of Herb's traffic time and Herb had a LOT of traffic to cover. I also think Herb was probably talking about http://ajcprint.com/ which is subscription based, but did not want to take the time to explain.

But that's just me.

I'm sure no one in AJC management thinks their severe left slant has anything to do with it. Obviously there are a lot of factors, but that is definitely one of them.
